Gilles Latour facing criminal charges

CORNWALL, Ont. – A well-known Cornwall financial adviser and the former head of Team Cornwall is facing criminal charges. The Cornwall Police Fraud Unit of the Cornwall Criminal Investigation Division has charged 47-year-old Gilles Latour with fraud, theft by conversion, false pretenses and breach of trust. It follows a five month investigation. Latour allegedly defrauded two people and police were called in to look into the case. The alleged incidents happened between May, 2012 and December, 2013. Police officers moved in today arresting Latour at his workplace – Latour Financial Group Inc. He was later released with a promise to appear in court on September 30, 2014.
