
CORNWALL, Ont. — Another name is on the list of those running for Cornwall city council. Pat Clarke filed his papers this week. The Cornwall native joins a list of 14 running for 10 council seats. Clarke has been involved in a number of organizations as a volunteers including the “Run to end MS”, the Rotary Club of Cornwall and Cornwall Waterfest. He also is a member of the Cornwall Waterfront and Recreation Advisory Committees. In a release, Clarke says he hopes to continue to make Cornwall a better place to live and to make a difference.
Those running for Cornwall council are: Todd Bennett, Davey Bedard, Roland Besner, Alyssa Blais, Brock Frost, Syd Gardiner, Carilyne Hébert, Mark A. MacDonald, David Murphy, Andre Rivette, Gary W. Samler, Gerald E. Samson, Geoff Stephenson and Guy St-Jean.
There are three running for mayor: incumbent Bob Kilger, former councillor Leslie O’Shaughnessy and website operator Jamie Gilcig.
