Gun pulled at Cornwall house party; Quebec man charged

CORNWALL – A Quebec man is facing eight charges after a handgun was pointed at a woman during a house party.

City police say it happened on Sunday, April 1 at a home on Alguire Street (the neighbourhood is southwest of the intersection of Tollgate Road and Brookdale Avenue).

Police say the accused and the victim did not know each other.

Logan Munro, 21, of Pierrefonds, Que. turned himself into police yesterday (April 18).

Munro is charged with assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, unauthorized possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, pointing a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon and uttering threats.

He will appear in a Cornwall court, May 31.
