Cornwallite wins gold at Ontario Winter Games

ORILLIA, Ont. – A four-time world kickboxing champion from Cornwall has picked up gold at the Ontario Winter Games.

Emily Vallance, 16, won in the 58 kilogram category at the games in Orillia, March 1-4, 2018.

While Orillia was home base for the games, the kickboxing events were held at the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Center in Midland.

Vallance was the recipient of the Jacques Richard Trophy in 2016 as the area’s top sports personality.
