CORNWALL – A South Stormont man, caught in an SD&G drug bust in August 2016, will be spending two months under house arrest.

Eldon Collins, 53, was sentenced in a Cornwall court earlier this month (June 8).

Court records show he was given a 10 day intermittent sentence for careless storage of a firearm, a 60 day sentence for drug possession and a 60 day sentence for drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.

All the sentences will run concurrently (at the same time), meaning he will serve a total of 60 days.

Collins also has to pay $600 in fines and is prohibited from owning or possessing weapons for 10 years.

Three other charges were withdrawn by the Crown.

Collins was among 10 people arrested during a mass raid of homes and properties in Stormont and Dundas during the police operation Project Cardiff.
