‘Spring ahead’ Saturday night; Daylight Saving Time begins

In this November 2015, file photo, electronic movements and banks of flourescent lights run the Lamoureux Park clock tower in Cornwall, Ont. We move our clocks ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night in observance of Daylight Saving Time. (Supplied via Newswatch Group)

SD&G ā€“ You may have to go to bed an hour early Saturday night as we lose an hour of sleep.

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 12 in many areas of Canada and here in SD&G.

Make sure to turn your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed Saturday night as we ‘spring ahead.’

Many fire departments suggest it’s also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke alarms.
