Vehicles on street overnight will be ticketed, say police

CORNWALL – As municipal works staff work to clear city streets overnight, the Cornwall police traffic department says it will be ticketing cars parked overnight.

The less stringent pre-winter parking rules are in effect where overnight parking is not allowed if the forecast calls for more than five centimeters of snow.

Environment Canada says we should have 20-25 centimeters by Monday night.

The parking ban is from 1 a.m. until 7 a.m.

The complete overnight parking ban comes into effect Dec. 15 until March 31, 2017.
