Charges laid in knife-point tablet theft

CORNWALL – Police have laid charges after a man was robbed of his computer tablet at knife-point last month.

Investigators allege two suspects had robbed the 22-year-old victim on July 12 while one of them held a knife.

Cornwall police arrested an 18-year-old girl on July 20 after she turned herself in at police headquarters.

A 22-year-old male suspect was arrested Sunday (Aug. 16) at a restaurant on Brookdale Avenue.

Police say the perpetrators and the victim knew each other.

Both are facing robbery charges while the male suspect is facing additional charges of possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of a court order to keep the peace.
