ORILLIA – With 25 motorcycling-related deaths so far this year, provincial police are pushing the message for riders to drive defensively.
The latest tragedy happened Thursday night when two people were killed when their bike collided with a van northwest of Winchester.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt of the Highway Safety Division says bikers need to “drive as if you are invisible.”
“I never saw him” is something heard all too often at the scene of a motorcycle crash, the O.P.P. says.
There have been 22 drivers and three passengers killed – half of those deaths were adults aged 45-65.
