MORRISBURG – It’s music to the ears of those behind the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage Performances.

The federal government is investing $25,000 over two years through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund for the group’s music and workshop series.

The St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage Performances has acoustic guitar and singer-songwriter performances from a variety of music genres and also offers music workshops.

“The funding…plays a critical part in ensuring that we have the capacity to present high-caliber musicians as part of our annual music and workshop series. Audience members are able to see live original music they would otherwise have to travel to larger urban centers to be able to enjoy,” said President and Artistic Director Sandra Whitworth.

The stage is at the Morrisburg Meeting Center at 12580 County Road 2 in Morrisburg.

The acoustic stage launched its ninth season in September 2014.
