CORNWALL – If you’ve cracked out the bicycle with the nicer weather, Cornwall police are going to be watching how you ride this month.
Bicycle enforcement – that includes e-bikes, scooters and mopeds – is part the Cornwall police monthly Traffic Action Plan.
Fines for various infractions can range from $35 for improper lighting to $110 or failing to yield to pedestrians, riding the wrong way on a one-way street or riding on the sidewalk.
Meanwhile, it appears motorists were buckling up. Cornwall police Const. Matt Dupuis says there 10 charges for not wearing seatbelts during the month of April.
