CORNWALL – A Cornwall couple is facing fraud charges after withdrawing money on bad cheques.
Police allege the man, 46, and woman, 47, deposited several cheques into their accounts and withdrew money.
The cheques were drawn on accounts that had been either closed or were unknown.
This happened for about a week in March before the police were notified that something fishy was going on.
The couple turned themselves into police yesterday (Tuesday).
The man is facing four counts of fraud; the woman is facing nine counts.
They were released with a promise to appear in court May 28.
