Tag switcher nabbed by police

CORNWALL – A Cornwall man is his 20s has been arrested for trying pull the wool over the eyes of a city cashier.

Police say the man had switched price tags on an item before bringing it to the register at a Cumberland Street store on Friday.

But store security was on to him and phoned police, who spotted him around Lennox Street later in the day and arrested the accused.

The man, 23, will appear in court in April on charges of fraud and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.
