CORNWALL – A driver’s nightmare is about to rear its ugly head again.

A section of Brookdale Avenue, from Second Street to Seventh Street, is slated to be closed as early as Tuesday next week and will stay that way for about two to three months.

It’s to allow the contractor, American Bridge Canada Co., to do more demolition work on the North Channel bridge.

Council is expected to pass the bylaw Monday night allowing the closure of the main north-south artery in the city.

In the report to council, the company says temporary access to local businesses and residents will be allowed

Motorists had to deal with partial closures of Brookdale Avenue last fall.
