SD&SG – Any belief that Guy Lauzon may have called it a career next year has been put to bed.
The Conservative MP has been acclaimed as the candidate for SD&SG in the 2015 federal election, the local riding association announced Thursday.
“It has been a privilege and honour to serve the constituents of Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry for the past ten years. I continue to have the same energy and passion as I did on Day One,” said Lauzon.
Lauzon has been the MP since 2004 and received 62 per cent of the vote in the last federal election in 2011, beating Liberal challenger Bernadette Clement.
Lauzon says he will run the next campaign like all his others – “like we are behind 10,000 votes.”
