Cornwall shopping spree leads to charges

CORNWALL – A young Cornwall woman’s shopping spree didn’t last for long.

City police say a 24-year-old had taken her 65-year-old mother’s bank card without her permission for two days in September.

She is alleged to have made several transactions in the city.

Police were contacted and they launched an investigation.

The woman turned herself into police headquarters yesterday and is charged with possession of stolen property, fraud and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.

Her name wasn’t released to protect the victim – her mother.

The accused will appear in court in December.
