Unemployment rate steady in Eastern Ontario

SD&G – The unemployment rate held steady in Eastern Ontario in September. The jobless rate was at 7% last month, the same as in August. The figure covers and area from Brockville to Ottawa and east to Quebec.

Meanwhile, the unadjusted rate for Cornwall was at 5.3% in September. That’s down from 6.4% in August. This is the fourth straight month of a decline in the jobless figure.
